Where do I start? I just don’t know how to thank you, Kelly, and your entire staff for all you did to make Becca and Dan’s wedding so perfect! We've received nothing but compliments and positive reactions to the food, the wait staff, and the facility. When I saw those trays of salads come through the door on cue, it took my breath away! Thank you so much for everything you and your League staff did to make our wedding such a beautiful, memorable event. The staff was so thoughtful and responded quickly to everyone’s needs. I really appreciated your input and experience during the planning process. It really showed in how seamlessly our reception for 200 plus guests unfolded. When Matt and I walked into the Union Ballroom on our wedding day, we were just blown away. It looked like it was out of a magazine! Not only did the room look fabulous, but the food and appetizers were great and the servers were spectacular. Having the football team’s own Tyler Ecker there sure was a high point of the reception for the groom and groomsmen (and me too). Matt never thought Tyler would be pouring our water- what a surprise! The chef's version of a high tea was perfect! Everyone loved the scones and finger sandwiches and I have never had better pastries at a catered event…I was so impressed with the execution of the vague menu ideas that I initially presented. Greetings from the Law School. I'm writing regarding the Law Class of 1963 alumni reunion that took place at the Michigan Union last Saturday, September 27, 2008. Drew Steding was the lead Union staff on the event, and he and his team were outstanding! Because of the late game, the dinner got a very late start and guests trickled in over the period of about an hour. Drew and his staff were incredibly flexible and made absolutely certain that every guest was comfortable and happy. I was very impressed.
I told Drew on Saturday and I will reiterate to you that this was by far my best experience at the Michigan Union. The Law School's many events at the Union are always nice, but Drew took the service to a new professional level. I will request him again and recommend him to my colleagues.
