No matter where your event is being held on campus or even beyond University boundaries, University Catering is excited and prepared to serve you. If you are still deciding where to have your event, consider these options:

A room at the Michigan League, set up for a formal event

Michigan League

Built in 1929, holds 18,000 square feet of meeting space and includes a range of facilities from smaller boardrooms to a grand ballroom that can accommodate 300. There is also a lovely courtyard garden adjacent to the building. The polished slate floors, stained glass windows and wood paneled walls offer a beautiful, historic setting with all the contemporary amenities. The League also offers a twenty–one room hotel, a variety of eateries, and a convenience store. More information on rooms at the League.

A room at the Michigan Union, set up for a formal event

Michigan Union

Historic elegance charged with student energy makes the Michigan Union a favorite place to visit on campus. Built in 1919, the Michigan Union has twenty–two meeting rooms with a total of 24,000 square feet of meeting space for hosting events from 10 to 400 guests. Located on central campus, this stately building combines contemporary amenities with traditional grandeur and is home to extensive food options, a convenience store, a Billiards and Games room and a Barnes and Noble bookstore. The facade of Pierpont Commons

Pierpont Commons

Located on North Campus, Pierpont Commons was built in 1963 and offers seven meeting rooms for hosting banquets from 7 to 200. All meeting rooms feature floor to ceiling windows and offer a dramatic view of beautiful North Campus. Pierpont is home to many international students and its connection to the Duderstadt Center, a comprehensive, multi–disciplinary high–tech library, as well as proximity to the School of Music and School of Art & Design, make this facility a diverse and exciting setting for events. University Catering trucks can bring the celebration to you University Catering can also provide services to locations outside the campus boundaries. Just give us a call at 734–764–2142 to discuss your location. Customized menus and rental of food service equipment may be necessary to ensure food quality and safety the farther from our kitchens we get.
